Overview
Organizers: HashNet, Impact Hub Ljubljana, Center Noordung, Kovačnica, Tehnološki park Ljubljana, Dravinjski poslovni klub, and COTRUGLI Business School.
We cordially invite high-school students, university students, and young innovators to take part in the Hackathon: Artificial Intelligence for Social Innovation. This event provides a unique opportunity to leverage AI in addressing real-world social and business challenges. Participants will work in teams of up to four and receive guidance from experienced mentors throughout the hackathon, helping them develop and refine their innovative solutions.

Challenges & Focus Areas
Participants can choose from six challenges spanning areas such as environment, healthcare, tourism, and business processes. These challenges reflect real issues faced by companies and organizations, and the aim is to develop solutions with long-term sustainability in mind.

- AI for Therapeutic & Healthcare Applications
A detailed briefing on each challenge will be provided during an online event on November 13, 2024, where teams can gain deeper insights into real-life social and business problems and start developing their solutions.
Prize Pool
The total value of the €8,000 prize pool includes:
- €2,000 in Cash Prizes
Awarded by Dravinjski poslovni klub. - €2,200
Free venue rental at Kovačnica and Impact Hub Ljubljana. - €2,500
Free mentorship for business idea development and networking, provided by Tehnološki park Ljubljana and Center Noordung. - €1,200
20 hours of free access to 3D and VR/AR labs at Tehnološki park Ljubljana. - €600
Vouchers for visits and experiences at Center Noordung.
Key Dates
- October 14, 2024: Official start of the hackathon and opening of registrations.
- November 5, 2024: Registration deadline for teams.
- November 13, 2024: Online event introducing the challenges in detail.
- November 13–25, 2024: Mentorship period for teams to develop their solutions.
- November 25, 2024: Deadline for project submissions.
- November 27, 2024: Final event at Impact Hub Ljubljana, where teams will present their solutions.
